Major-History is a new blog, created by an independent Military Historian. Stuart has experience from his undergraduate studies in music as well as having done much research into the history of his local area. Stuart’s Masters degree in Military History has covered many areas and his focus is the First and Second World Wars and a particular focus on on the First World War in the Egypt and Palestine Campaign and the air campaign in the Second World War. Stuart is also a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society and a Member of the Royal Historical Society. Since 2025, Stuart has been a member of the International Guild of Battlefield Guides.

A New War Memorial for a small village, covering men missed from both the First World War and the Second World War, in addition to more recent deployments. For the more recent deployments contact was made with the relevant regiment to gain their support and approval as well as the family.
